Every fall there comes a boot that stands out above all the rest. This fall, I am pleased to shine my spotlight on the gorgeous ‘Merin’ waterproof boot by La Canadienne. These are definitely the best black heeled boots for Fall. I adore the sleek look of the black suede and the 3-inch heel that is both sexy and wearable. With a 1/2 inch platform at the base, it becomes a 2 1/2 inch heel that is great for a night out as well as some solid standing hours. Beyond the comfortable sex appeal is it’s utility. As a waterproof boot, I am able to rock this boot in snow and rain. Yes, I will be packing it for London. I will be paring it with shorter dresses, dark jeans and my beloved black Burberry Brit five pocket leggings. On this legging pant note, these Burberry Brit pants are a must-have for fall. I rarely use the word must-have, but if you want to feel like you are wearing pants that feel like the womb, these are your pants. They are devilishly soft and stretchy yet thick and secure. They will go with closed-toe flats as well as boots. They run up to a size 14.
Due to the Merin’s popularity, most sizes are gone at Nordstroms, but thankfully Bloomingdale’s is carrying them. For a Stevie Nicks kick to the boot, Zappos has another La Canadienne goodie. The scrunched Mercedes is hot. It was actually very difficult to choose between the Merin and the Mercedes when purchasing my own La Canadienne. The Mercedes is made with the same gorgeous black waterproof suede and has the same heel height. The scrunch will add texture and edge to outfits and can also be paired with leggings, shorter dresses, and jeans.
