Summer dresses and skirts are essential, but the right shorts exposes the same amount of leg without the risk of extra sharing. You can walk over a subway grate, sit cross legged on the carpet, dance, flip and face the wind in confidence with a pair of shorts on your bod.

When shopping shorts, you'd be surprised by the small selection, even in summer, but thankfully J Crew can be your trutworthy go-to. They have an extensive collection of basic chino shorts in diverse solid colors with inseams ranging from the flirty 3-inch to the the more conservative 9-inch. This makes my job so much easier. My clients range in age, height, coloring and fitness level. I need these various length choices! The fit is also amazing. You will notice the fit does not actually look all that amazing on the models. The models are a lanky size 0. They are too thin for the fit, meaning it will fit you and me wonderfully! For those of you that are very thin, apologies.

J Crew also has some fab printed shorts like the Arrowhead Ikat and Tiki Print. Last year they carried more of this kind of novelty collection, but sadly this year is lacking. Thankfully I have searched out some other options for you.
