@bloomingdales has just come out with a new in hou @bloomingdales has just come out with a new in house brand called Bloomies - aptly named! Who else is always calling Bloomingdales Bloomies? 🙋🏽‍♀️ . Bloomies features limited edition styles with a fresh retro vibe. I am sporting the black and white reversible checkered bikini top and bottom with matching sarong. The bikini is super soft, yet strong and gives good coverage, while the sarong is very lightweight and a little transparent in a good way. I am also wearing (and loving) their soft oversize tees. I’m wearing a size small in the cropped Tees, but I think an extra small would’ve been better, so go ahead and size down on those. But size up on the bikini. I paired all of the affordable Bloomies goodies with some luxury shades by Christian Dior. I was feeling (🥰) the whole retro futuristic combo. . I am taking a moment from fashion today because I I am taking a moment from fashion today because I am horrified by the likelihood of Roe vs Wade being overturned by the Supreme Court in a few months. This means abortion will be illegal in 22+ states in our country. Almost half of American women will lose safe and legal access to this hard fought right. What an incredible regression this will be. I am truly aghast. Everyone knows a woman who has needed an abortion. . This year a friend of mine had to abort her much desired pregnancy because it died in the womb. . My best friend’s Mom had an abortion when her two daughters were teenagers because it didn’t make sense for her to have a third child in her early 50’s. . Women have abortions because they have been raped, or they are poor, or they have no support, or they are too young. Women have abortions because their pregnancy might kill them. Or because it might kill their dreams. There are so, so, so many different abortion scenarios and stories. . We don't get to pick and choose which abortion scenarios should be accepted. It's not about the stories we don't agree with. It's about fighting for the women in the stories that we do agree with. . Women's rights are meant to protect ALL women, regardless of their situation. . Access to a safe abortion needs to be available to every single woman no matter their story or state residency. . Forcing a person to carry a fetus to term that they do not want or cannot safely deliver is inhumane. . I’ve had an interesting week! Firstly, I have ha I’ve had an interesting week! Firstly, I have had a spot peel facial from the Queen of Skincare @montarboskincare - this is why I have large fake looking freckles. They are currently peeling off and will reveal flawless skin shortly. . Two, I have some physical ailments of late that have lead to a severe back spasm that has required me to take a big step back from technology and my clients. The timing couldn’t be much worse - I am fully booked through September. . To the clients I have contacted to reschedule (in some cases months from now) thank you so very kindly for your flexibility and understanding. I detest disappointing you, so every kind word and gracious rebooking means everything to me 🙏🏼♥️ . Not to worry! I am already healing nicely and I have a team of lovely professionals to get me back to 💯 . My healing assignment is very straight forward: physical therapy every single day, minimize time on the computer/cell phone and keep active. If I skimp on this even a little, I am in pain. . I was already heading in the direction of less clients - I have been overbooked and over worked for over a decade. But I am taking this direction a little more seriously now. Something about not being able to move really gets you moving! Lol . I will only be working with clients that are truly the right fit for my process. (I always say my ideal client is someone that plans in advance and “let’s me work”. I will be putting together a video that explains this in more detail soon.) . For everyone else I have a handful of other delightful personal stylists I can refer you to - I want you in good hands! ♥️ .
