I live for prints. I love prints. Needless to say, I am fully enamored by Proenza Schouler's navajo print dresses. When I saw it on Liv Tyler in June I oohed. And then I saw it on Sarah Jessica Parker in Vogue's family fabulous spread by Mario Testinon and I awed. Whenever I show dresses like these to my clients, they often ask me, "What ocassion would I where this?
To this I reply, you make the occasion. Wear it to the next evening party on your schedule. Pair it with a sensible heel, so as not to overglamorize it, and wear it for martinis at a nice bar. Just wear the damn beautiful thing.
By the way, I understand that overglamorize is not a word.
