TODAY I had the absolute pleasure of attending a V

TODAY I had the absolute pleasure of attending a VIP tour and lunch at the @fashionphile headquarters in Carlsbad. I have been meaning to investigate Fashionphile for years, and I could kick myself for waiting.

Fashionphile is one of the top resellers of pre-owned luxury accessories, i.e. handbags, jewelry, shoes and watches.

The facility is impeccable. Their process is brilliant. Fashionphile is where the pre-loved items on @farfetch are authenticated. @neimanmarcus bought a minority stake in Fashionphile in April 2019. The founder, Sarah Davis, said when the representative for NM toured their headquarters for the first time, they declared Fashionphile’s handling and organization of goods better then NM, and couldn't close the deal fast enough. I believe her.

What stood out more than the thousands of perfectly organized handbags was the exuberance Sarah Davis exhibited for her business. She was so open and passionate about the way she grew her business from an ebay store in 1999 to the multi-million dollar company it is today. She was downright detailed when she shared why they chose a custom made pink slide over a conveyor belt, and discussed creative solutions to the issues her business faces from marketing to security.

And I have to tell you the lunch was delectable and my fellow fashion industry icons were the loveliest of company. I was so inspired by my experience, I officially recommend my clients resell their luxury items there, I certainly recommend shopping there, and I will be doing a full length feature of Fashionphile on the blog this year - I will be purchasing my first item from them as soon as I stop typing here. I have my eye on the blush Prada camera bag… Stay tuned!

Nordstrom anniversary sale opens to the public today! Here are some shopping tips…

1) Always buy multiple sizes. If you only buy one size online, by the time you realize you need another size, it could be sold out.

2. you will notice that many of the items I recommended on my blog post is already sold out. That is because the past 9 days Nordstrom credit card holders took full advantage of their early access. But don’t fret too much! Early shoppers like me just got our items in the mail and will soon be returning sizes we don’t need and items that didn’t work out. Check back in everyday to see if your favorite items come back in stock.
