Yes, this is a fashion blog, but as you may have noticed I have addressed many various beauty topics. Today is the Colossal Volum’ Express by Maybelline. Dreadful indeed. I look like I have kinky, clumpy spider lashes. More than one coat and you are screwed. Just one coat, boring lashes.
I was so excited to get new mascara so I am particularly perturbed by my purchase. I am also trying this new thing where I finish every product I own before I buy another. It’s an economical thing.
I am going to finish every bottle of shampoo that I own, all the bottles of lotion, hairspray, mousse and all the mascaras before I allow myself to purchase another. It will save money and create space in my over cluttered, gorgeous bathroom…
But now I am stuck with this Colossal Volum’ Express mascara. Colossal mistake. If anyone has a similar story with this mascara please do share and then recommend to me your favorite mascara and why. Who out there is getting velvety, long lashes that wont smudge?

Awhile back, I was super excited for Maybelline’s IntenseXXL Microfiber Mascara (the one with two different ends, black and white, wowww!). I now absolutely hate it. All i end up with is oddly spidery looking lashes.
As for good mascaras,DiorShow Mascara is absolutely fabulous, but obviously a little pricey.
Otherwise, try Ulta’s Maximum Volume Waterproof Mascara. I got this as a free gift, but i was pleasantly surprised with the results. Great volume, of course, but also length and very clean & un-clumpy.
in my own honest opinion i love the spiderleg-y look. so the colossal volum mascara is my faveorite 😀
