Celebrity Style: Selma Hayek in Alexander McQueen

Selma Hayek has never been a major fashion player in my mind of style, but she certainly turned my head when she wore this violet (my favorite dress color) Alexander McQueen. Beyond the dress just being fabulous, the styling was perfection. The champagne nude stacked pump is ever-so-chic while the black-lens sunglasses makes the feminine look more interesting by saying, “I might have guns at home.”

Is this style for you? This dress could work with many different body types. The reason this works for Selma’s hourglass figure is the fitted waist displaying her small waist and the vee neckline showing off her ample bust while the shoulder emphasis balances out her womanly hips. Her petite stature is made longer by the higher hemline.
