Frank & Eileen Review: Comfortable, Flattering Casual Wear For Everyday

I have been updating this Frank & Eileen review as I try more and more of their garments. I discovered the brand years ago when a client asked me to create a uniform for her informal day-to-day life. I ended up putting her in a series of their now-famous casual collared shirts.

My obsession has grown to include so many of their pieces, with an emphasis on their Galway jeans. They are the best jeans I have ever worn, and all my clients with a waist size of 24-32 LOVE THEM. But I am getting ahead of myself. Below, I dive into all my favorite Frank & Eileen items, including sizing details, and why their jeans — and other items — are so darn fabulous.

Frank & Eileen Sizing

In general, Frank & Eileen runs large, so you will want to order a size down. To be more specific, the shirts for sure run large, while their pants run only slightly large. With the shirts, for some tops you’ll need one size down, while other tops may require you to go down two sizes if you want a more fitted silhouette. For example, the XS button-front shirts (pictured above) are a little baggy on me, whereas the XS in the Patrick sweatshirt (featured below) fits almost snugly. Frank & Eileen Jeans Review

As I mentioned above, I am obsessed with Frank & Eileen’s jeans. They are so flattering and comfortable, and I’ve been putting them on all of my clients. My two favorites right now are:

• Galway wide-leg jeans (The best wide-leg jeans! These are my favorite jeans of 2025.)
• Derry jeans (The best straight-leg option. Plus, they are warm.)

Generally, their jeans run true to size, but you’ll want to size down if you’re in between sizes. I provide more detailed reviews on each of my favorite Frank & Eileen jeans below.

Is Frank & Eileen Worth It?

Frank & Eileen is a woman-owned and led company, with a focus on female empowerment, including a pledge to spend $20 million in the next 10 years to support female entrepreneurs. They’re also committed to sustainability and are a certified B Corporation, which means they meet certain environmental and social standards. For example, Frank & Eileen only works with sustainable manufacturers and textile producers and all their fabrics are traceable from seed to finish. In fact, on their website, you can look up every single one of the fabrics they use and read where it comes from and how it’s made. I adore that transparency and commitment to environmentally friendly practices.

I know you love an ethical company like me, and are willing to pay more to support sustainable practices. But the main reason Frank & Eileen is worth the price tag is because the cut of the clothing is so darn flattering, and the fabrics feel amazing. They really know what they are doing. They also make items I can’t get anywhere else. At first glance, Frank & Eileen may not seem as unique as I am waxing poetic, but they are. The items I am featuring from them are truly one of a kind.

Frank & Eileen Review: Montecito Turtleneck

I simultaneously feel both cozy and cool while wearing this cotton turtleneck sweater. The neck lies perfectly, it’s super soft, and it can easily be dressed up or down. I especially adore this deep green color, which is flattering on everyone.

Frank & Eileen Review: Galway Wide-Leg Jean

The Galway Wide-Leg Jean is the Frank & Eileen item that I want to manically recommend. I need all of you to try them. The fit is fantastic, the comfort is phenomenal, and the movement is perfection, which is hard to pull off with a cropped, wide leg. So many wide-leg pants and jeans don’t move well, so this is a special find.

It is hands down my favorite jean of 2025. I now own it in 3 different washes: 1964 (light wash), 1972 (medium wash), and 1999 (dark wash).

Frank & Eileen Review: Anna Long-Sleeve Capelet

I love loungewear that you can wear out of the house, like this long-sleeve top. It’s super comfortable and can be easily dressed up with jeans and jewelry for wearing out and about. Then, when I get home, I can wear it with sweatpants or leggings for lounging around.

It has fitted sleeves with a raw hem. Wear it untucked with athletic leggings, or tucked into jeans.

Sizing: XS-XL; The arms are fitted, so order your true size if you have thicker arms. If you have lean arms, order a size down.

Frank & Eileen Review: Sligo Italian Waxed Denim

These black skinny jeans are perfect for dressing up, and especially for holiday party looks if you favor separates or need to choose pants over a dress because it’s cold.

Frank & Eileen Review: Montecito Sweater

This is one of my favorite sweaters this season. It’s super soft, non-itchy, and I love the fun detailing on the sleeves. Wear it front-tucked into the Galway jeans. Or, leave it untucked over leggings. I’m loving the cream color, but it comes in so many yummy options. I particularly enjoy the camel and the pink/blue marl colors.

Sizing: Available in XS-XL. It has that intentional oversized sweater look, but you can size down 2 sizes for a more fitted look.

Frank & Eileen Review: NYC Boyfriend Blazer & Wide-Leg Trouser

Obsessed!!! I adore wearing this blazer and trouser as a set, though of course you can wear them separately (if you must). They’re soft, flattering, comfortable, and so bold when paired together. The boyfriend blazer has that classic oversized look, without being too oversized. It’s incredibly versatile: wear it with wide-leg pants, slim-leg pants, or even over a shorter dress.

The trousers are best for my ladies with medium-width to narrow hips. Pair them with platform or chunky heels for the most flattering look.

Frank & Eileen Review: Derry Jean

I can’t emphasize enough how much I love Frank & Eileen jeans. If you’re looking for a straight-leg jean, get these. They’re so incredibly soft, flattering and they are a bit thicker than most jeans so great for cold weather or someone who runs cold. You can cuff them like I did or wear them down like the model pictured above.

This trench coat feels like a sweatshirt. It’s an amazing option for those of you wanting a less structured trench coat look. Because it’s so cozy, you could easily wear it at your desk if you work in a cold office, or sport it on a plane.

Frank & Eileen Review: Waverly White Button Down

Frank & Eileen truly specializes in classic, timeless pieces, like this white button-down. It’s soft, high quality, and won’t collect lint. I like that it doesn’t have any buttons at the very top, so it gives you a really flattering V-neckline. Wear the sleeves down or roll them up for a more slimming/feminine look.

Styling Tip: Take advantage of that V-neckline to wear your favorite statement necklace.

Frank & Eileen Review: Galway Wide-Leg Jean (in White)

As you know, I adore the Galway wide-leg jeans in general, and I’m delighted their white wash version is also a great white jean. It is so hard to find good white jeans — so many of them are annoyingly see-through. This pair is not, but you will see the outline of the pockets on the front of the pant. This is usually a no-no in my book, but these jeans are so amazing overall that we are making an exception!

Frank & Eileen Review: Jameson Jogger Utility Jean

Another flattering and comfortable Frank & Eileen pants. I love having a new comfy jogger to recommend to clients that feels like pajamas, but isn’t a sweatpant.

Client Homework: Get these pants in hunter green! Love them!

Frank & Eileen Review: Florence Getaway Set

The Florence Getaway Set is another one of my favorite Frank & Eileen outfits. What I love about it:

1. The top is sleeveless, so you stay cool in warm weather, and it’s flowy, so you can eat as much as you want when wearing it.
2. It’s flattering for almost every body type.
3. It’s a chic outfit for the grocery or travel because of how comfortable and stylish it is. It has that intentionally baggy, chic look.
4. You can let this set really be a canvas for your accessories. Pair it with a hat and a tote, colorful sandals or jewelry, or minimalist jewelry — whatever you prefer.

Frank & Eileen Review: Grace Eyelet Midi Dress

This dress is super comfortable and nips in at the waist for a flattering fit. It’s made from a crisp, thick cotton that will never get linty! You don’t find this that often. Because it’s a thicker cotton, it’s perfect for fall, spring, and summer evenings in San Diego when you don’t want to carry around a jacket. If you get cold, just roll the sleeves down; if you get warm, roll the sleeves up. Plus, how cute is the eyelet at the bottom —  and, did I mention it has pockets?!

Frank & Eileen Review: Rosie Short-Sleeve Button-Up Shirt

This boxy top flows beautifully and is great for when you don’t want to tuck in your shirt or for when you want to eat a lot. Wear it with all of your high-waisted bottoms. You will need to wear a nude bra with this top, as even a light grey bra will show through. The only downside is that the 100% linen fabric may be too itchy for those with the most sensitive skin.

Frank & Eileen Review: Carmel Travel Set

The Carmel Travel Set is so darn flattering and cozy. It doesn’t have pockets, which I know will disappoint a few of you, but the perk of no pockets is that the pant is extra slimming on the hips and belly. It is truly their cuts that makes Frank & Eileen so unique. I love this set for working from home, travel days, lounging in a hotel room or Airbnb, and my walks in Balboa Park.

The Eileen Ruffle is such a fresh take on the chambray shirt. Obviously, the fit is delicious and the fabric feels amazing. This shirt can be worn untucked or tucked. This is definitely the best ruffle neck chambray of the few that have been made.
